About

My name is Phil Bakis. I’m a 25 year old Stamford resident who’s idea of a perfect date would probably be a chicken parm dinner, cold Arnold Palmer, and a Rangers game on TV. Being half Greek and half Italian, I have a huge, awesome, and crazy family! I’m blessed and lucky enough to have the friends and family that I do, and wouldn’t trade any of them for anything. I enjoy everything stand up comedy, movies, and sports.

I’m a graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University, where i got my BS in Communications and a minor in Writing, and plan on using both of those skills to someday break into mainstream media one day. I’ve interned at a local radio station in Willimantic, and fell in love with the world of radio and TV production. My goal in life is to persue a career in writing or production, or possibly a stand up comedian if I play my cards right.

I’m using this blog as a way to sharpen and maintain my writing skills, keep on top of today’s big topics in sports and entertainment, as well as to hopefully get people to smile, laugh, and be happy! I also am using this as a way to let the world know how I view it, in my own words.

  2. Well done, young man. I always try to key in when something new from my hometown shows up. There is a great history with our town, and it’s one to discover and rediscover. Keep up the fine work and best of luck in your endeavor
